Michael Olise registered two goal contributions in each of his last four appearances FC Bayern München. The 23-year-old duly became only the second Bayern player this century to post a goal and an assist in four straight Bundesliga games. Mario Mandzukic achieved the feat in 2014.

Olise enjoyed a blinding first season in the Bundesliga, scoring 12 goals and setting up 15. His assists came every 156 minutes on average – the best ratio in Europe’s big five leagues for any player with at least 10.

Olise, who was born in England and represented fellow FIFA Club World Cup participants Chelsea FC and Manchester City at youth level, has also sizzled for France, bagging twice in his last two outings.

Vincent Kompany’s Bayern will play Auckland City FC in Cincinnati, CA Boca Juniors in Miami and SL Benfica in Charlotte in Group C.
