Cristiano Ronaldo, despite being 33, amazingly clocked the joint-fastest top speed at Russia 2018: 34km/h. The Portugal No7 was joined by 24-year-old Croatia flyer Ante Rebic.
Ronaldo also smashed the record for the oldest hat-trick marksman, his glorious last-gasp free-kick also snatching a 3-3 draw with Spain. The Netherlands’ Rob Rensenbrink had held it, having been 30 when he netted thrice against IR Iran at Argentina 1978.
