Real Madrid C. F. forward Gonzalo Garcia remains in first place in the race to be named FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ Top Goal Scorer presented by Bank of America.
The 21-year-old was thrust into the limelight in the group phase when Kylian Mbappe was sidelined by illness, and he has responded by providing either a goal or an assist in the meetings with Al Hilal, CF Pachuca, FC Salzburg, Juventus FC and Borussia Dortmund.
Garcia has one assist to his name, meaning he is the outright leader in the Top Goal Scorer rankings, ahead of Benfica veteran Angel Di Maria, Al Hilal frontman Marcos Leonardo and Borussia Dortmund’s Serhou Guirassy, although all four of these leading contenders have now been eliminated from the tournament.
Fabian Ruiz fired himself into contention with a first-half brace in Paris Saint-Germain’s 4-0 demolition of Garcia’s Madrid in the semi-finals and, with one assist, is the best-placed of the players still active in the competition. Chelsea’s Pedro Neto is also on three goals, while Achraf Hakimi, Ousmane Dembele, Joao Neves and Joao Pedro – all on two – cannot be ruled out.

The Top Goal Scorer Presented by Bank of America will be awarded to the player who scores the most goals in the final competition. If two or more players score the same number of goals, the number of assists (as determined by the members of the FIFA Technical Study Group) shall be decisive.
If two or more players are still equal after taking into account the number of assists, the total minutes played in the tournament will be taken into account, with the player playing fewer minutes ranked first.
