Final match fireworks
The FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ final kicked off with all the pomp and circumstance fans could expect: fireworks, a flyover, a presidential appearance and a pre-game performance from Robbie Williams.

The calm before the storm
It was all jokes before the action got going, but only Enzo Maresca would be smiling at the end of the match. It was the Blues’ day in New York New Jersey.
Cole cold as ice
The first 45′ was the Cole Palmer show. Some stars step up in the biggest moments, and Palmer certainly did so, hitting his silky finishes with his typical cool demeanour.
Cold in summer
Palmer scored twice and did his customary “cold” celebration both times on his way to winning the adidas Golden Ball award.
Bad blood
Friendship before the match faded quickly. The feisty affair led to one red card and six yellows.
A magic moment
Fresh off two goals in the semi-final against former club Fluminense FC, Joao Pedro was at it again, bagging a beautiful chip in the final and sealing Chelsea’s victory in the process.
Three’s a party
The party began early in New York New Jersey. The football gods rewarded the Blues handsomely for their spectacular play.
Desire
PSG showed plenty of desire, but it wasn’t their day. Even FIFA Best Young Player Desire Doue couldn’t find a way past adidas Golden Glove winner Robert Sanchez.
A blue day
MetLife was packed to the rafters with mostly Blues fans. It was a day of celebration for the Londoners.
Diving Donnarumma
Even in defeat, Gianluigi Donnarumma made some spectacular saves, throwing himself about to keep the score within reason.
Chelsea, Chelsea, Chelsea…
When the final whistle blew the Chelsea players joined in the celebrations that were already happening in the stands. World Champions 2025 is what their shirts read.
Awards
Cole Palmer bagged the adidas Golden Ball thanks to three goals and two assists throughout the tournament. Robert Sanchez won the adidas Golden Glove after a stellar finals display, and French star Desire Doue took home the FIFA Best Young Player Award presented by Panini.
Trophy lift
After 63 games, it was Chelsea FC who lifted the prestigious Club World Cup trophy. The Blues will forever be the inaugural champions.
