Baldovino was a sensation in qualifying in front of the home fans, scoring seven goals to lead Colombia to a fourth place finish in the final stage. Her exploits included hat-tricks in the 3-0 victory over Venezuela and the 3-0 triumph against Peru. A product of Colombian side Junior, Baldovino displayed a blend of craftiness and power in scoring her goals, and will be a strong test for opposing back lines in the group.

The captain of the Ivorians had already been a standout player in qualifying, but then she took it a step further by scoring the crucial strike that secured her team’s first World Cup berth. N’Guessan found the net six minutes into the second leg of their third round qualifying tie with Guinea, which served as the decisive away goal tiebreaker in a 2-2 final on aggregate. N’Guessan finished qualifying with two goals to pace the Éléphantelles to Morocco 2025.

Han is one of the Korea Republic players who featured at Dominican Republic 2024 and fared well in her maiden World Cup. The midfielder brims with confidence and composure and can wrong-foot a defender at any moment with a bevy of moves. Her skill and technique are far beyond her years and will prove a great asset in Morocco.

Arufe is poised to be one of the next, great Spanish forwards in women’s football, as evidenced by her two strikes in qualifying, including in the 6-1 win over Austria that punched their ticket to Morocco 2025. She recently moved up to the Barcelona second team from the ‘Femeni C’ and will no doubt play a major attacking role for head coach Milagros Martinez, as Spain seek a third crown.
