Angely Camargo and Nicole Mancilla excelled as Colombia made a successful start at the FIFA Futsal Women’s World Cup Philippines 2025™.
Goalkeepers thrived during an engrossing first half. Canadian Lea Palacio-Tellier made two magnificent stops, while Colombians Paula Valencia and Allison Olave also came up big. Its only goal from a marvellous team move started and finished by Camargo. Nicole Mancilla made it two, burgling the ball, selling Palacio-Tellier a dummy and slotting the ball into the net.
The teams will return to the court on Tuesday, when Canada take on Thailand and Colombia encounter Spain.
