Trinidad D’ Andrea pulled off multiple magnificent saves as Argentina overcame Poland to move on to the cusp of knockout-phase qualification at the FIFA Futsal World Cup Philippines 2025™.
The 31-year-old goalkeeper prevented the Poles going ahead thrice before Silvina Nava slid the Argentinians into the lead. Agostina Chiesa and Lucia Rossi then put Nicolas Noriega’s side firmly in command, only for Nava to see red for a second bookable offence and give the Europeans hope. Thunderbolts from Aga Bala and Anna Choras pulled Poland within one, but the contest ultimately belonged to D’ Andrea.
Argentina will play Philippines in their final group game, while Poland meet Morocco in a match of high stakes.
