Portugal hit the goal trail again as they swept aside Mexico, who had knocked out Argentina in the previous round. Cabral, Rafael Quintas, Zeega, Miguel Figueredo and Yoan Periera were the scorers for Bino’s men.

Jose Neto scored a stunning goal as Portugal delivered an outstanding team performance to beat a high-quality Switzerland side. Mide was also on the scoresheet.

A tense semi-final was settled by a penalty shootout. The decisive moment coming when Brazil’s Angelo sent his spot-kick over the crossbar to give Portugal the win and spark wild scenes of celebration.

A tightly-contested final was settled by Cabral’s 32nd-minute winner. His close-range strike came after a fabulous team move. Austria battled hard for a leveller but Portugal’s class and determination saw them clinch a history-making triumph.
