The eyes of the globe will turn to North America in June and July as 48 teams gather for the biggest and most inclusive FIFA World Cup™ in history. With 42 teams already qualified, the group stage draw completed in December and the full match schedule now known, all that remains is for the final six slots to be filled via the FIFA Play-Off Tournament and European play-offs in March. Co-hosts Mexico will get the party started on 11 June as they welcome South Africa to Mexico City Stadium – a reverse repeat of the opening game from 2010, when Bafana Bafana were the hosts.
FIFA Women’s World Cup 2027 qualifiers
The road to the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027™ has already begun for teams from CONMEBOL and the OFC. They will be joined in their respective qualification tournaments by nations representing the AFC, Concacaf, CAF and UEFA throughout the year, with 31 places available alongside the host nation.
FIFA Women’s Champions Cup

The FIFA Women’s Champions Cup™ brings together the reigning continental champions for a thrilling competition to determine the world’s best women’s club team. UEFA Women’s Champions League holders Arsenal (England), Concacaf titlists Gotham FC (United States) and CONMEBOL champions Corinthians (Brazil) will be joined by ASFAR (Morocco), with the African side securing their place in the final four with victory over Wuhan Jiangda (China) in December 2025.
FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup

Host nation Poland will make their FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup™ debut as 24 teams from across all six confederations vie for global glory in the 12th edition of the biennial tournament. Korea DPR are the current champions, having claimed their third crown at Colombia 2024 to draw level with Germany and USA as the competition’s joint most successful nation.
FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup

Morocco
Morocco will welcome the planet’s best young women’s teams again as the 10th FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup 2026™ takes place in the north African nation, who have hosting rights for the now annual event from 2025 to 2029. Korea DPR are the reigning champions after cruising past the Netherlands 3-0 at the Olympic Stadium of Rabat. That triumph was a second successive title for the Asian side and their fourth overall.
FIFA U-17 World Cup

Qatar
The expanded and now annual 48-team FIFA U-17 World Cup™ once again returns to Qatar, who will act as host nation for the tournament from 2025 to 2029. The thrilling 104-game extravaganza was won last time out by Portugal, who claimed their maiden triumph in the event after defeating European rivals Austria 1-0 at Khalifa International Stadium.
FIFA Intercontinental Cup
The FIFA Intercontinental Cup™ gives the champions of all six confederations the chance to compete on the global stage on an annual basis. The tournament has an exciting format, with teams competing for annual confederation-based titles and trophies. The quest for silverware will start right from the opening phase, when teams play for the FIFA African-Asian-Pacific Cup. Paris Saint-Germain were crowned champions in 2025 after defeating Flamengo in the final.
