The countdown to the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027™ will begin on Sunday, 25 January at 07:30, from one of Brazil’s most iconic locations: Copacabana Beach in Rio de Janeiro. Against this world-famous backdrop, FIFA will celebrate Brazil’s rich cultural heritage, its deep passion for football, and its vibrant street-painting tradition – a living expression of the nation’s love for the game.
Until early afternoon, outdoor activities at the seafront (“Posto 6”) will invite fans, locals and visitors to take part in the first public celebration of the tournament. Blending football with art and the culture of each of the eight host cities, the event will set the tone as the country prepares to host the biggest women’s sporting event on the planet.
The FIFA+ live stream will be available worldwide with the exception of Brazil, where the event will be broadcast by CazéTV and Globo.
Starting at 11.00, a ceremony held at a hotel in Copacabana — broadcast live by Brazilian broadcasters CazéTV and Globo and attended by dignitaries and legends of the women’s and men’s game — will unveil the highly anticipated official brand. For full coverage of Sunday’s event, visit FIFA.com.
Please note that street activations are subject to change depending on weather conditions.
