Just four Oceania teams remain alive in the hunt for the region’s lone direct berth for the FIFA Women’s World Cup Brazil 2027™, and you can watch all the decisive third round matches live and free on FIFA+.
After last year’s first stage concluded, American Samoa joined the seven highest-ranked nations in the second round, which was played in February and March. There, the South Pacific side created more history as they finished as section runners to New Zealand to reach the final phase of qualification for the first time. Papua New Guinea and Fiji were the nations to advance from the other group to settle the semi-final match-ups.
Those fixtures see Papua New Guinea clash with American Samoa in Hamilton on 12 April, with New Zealand’s tussle against Fiji to follow later on the same day.
The two victors will then meet on 15 April in Auckland, with the winner securing passage to the Women’s World Cup and the runner-up earning a ticket to the FIFA Play-off Tournament.
