The match

Congo DR and Uzbekistan will bring their FIFA World Cup 2026™ Group K campaigns to a close here, as the pair meet in Atlanta. The African nation ended 52 years of waiting to play at the finals with a dramatic victory over Jamaica at the FIFA Play-Off Tournament back in March. Uzbekistan, meanwhile, made history by reaching their maiden finals after losing just once in 16 AFC qualifiers.

The winner of Group K will advance to the round of 32 and play the third place team from Group D, E, I, J or L on 3 July at Kansas City Stadium, while the Group K runner-up face the Group L runner-up at Toronto Stadium on 2 July and the third place team from Group K would meet the winner of Group L on 1 July at Atlanta Stadium.
