Fifty-seven 3-0 scores have occurred in the World Cup. The most in one edition was six at France 1998: France 3-0 South Africa, Brazil 3-0 Morocco, Italy 3-0 Cameroon, Scotland 0-3 Morocco, Germany 0-3 Croatia and Brazil 0-3 France.
The latter remains the only 3-0 in a final. Italy had been close to one at Spain 1982, only for Paul Breitner to grab a late consolation for West Germany.
USA won their first two games in the global finals, against Belgium and Paraguay, 3-0 at Uruguay 1930. The only World Cups without a 3-0 were Italy 1934, Switzerland 1954 and Italy 1990.
