Arab Cup match schedule released

The match schedule for the second edition of the FIFA Arab Cup™ has been released, with hosts Qatar set to face either Palestine or Libya at Al Bayt Stadium on the tournament’s opening day.

That was the same venue that opened the most recent edition of the FIFA World Cup™, while Lusail Stadium will also reprise its role as the stage for the final, on 18 December.

A total of six venues – all used for the World Cup – will host matches as nations from across the Arab world descend on Qatar from 1-18 December.

An additional four venues will be used for the qualification stage, on 25 and 26 November. That will see 14 nations jostle to join the hosts, defending champions Algeria and seven direct qualifiers in the tournament proper.
