In March 2025, the FIFA Council approved the creation of the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup™, which brings together the six continental club champions from the full season preceding the tournament to compete for a coveted new trophy.
The first edition of the competition concluded on Sunday 1 February, with Arsenal edging out Corinthians 3-2 after extra time in what was a final for the ages.

When and where is the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup 2026?
Dates
Round 1 of the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup 2026 was played on 8 October 2025. Round 2 was played on 14 December 2025 at Stade Municipal de Berrechid, in Morocco, to determine the last semi-final slot.
The FIFA Women’s Champions Cup 2026 semi-finals took place at Brentford Stadium on Wednesday 28 January, with the third-place play-off and final occurring at Arsenal Stadium on 1 February 2026.
Hosts
Wuhan Sports Centre Stadium in Wuhan, China, hosted Round 1. Stade Municipal de Berrechid hosted Round 2 whereas London hosted the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup 2026 semi-finals, third-place match and final.

The FIFA Women’s Champions Cup brings together the six continental club champions from the full season preceding the tournament to compete for for title. It will be held every non-FIFA Women’s Club World Cup™ year.
FIFA Women’s Champions Cup 2026 fixtures
The first stage of the 2026 competition featured two knockout rounds. The AFC champions (Wuhan Chegu Jiangda WFC) hosted the OFC champions (Auckland United FC) in Round 1. The Chinese outfit got the better over the New Zealanders in a hard-fought win in Round 1.
Wuhan Jiangda were then beaten by CAF champions ASFAR in a dramatic Round 2 tie. The Moroccan powerhouses progressed to the final phase where they were defeated by UEFA champions Arsenal at Brentford Stadium. Earlier in the day, CONMEBOL champions Corinthians edged past Concacaf champions Gotham FC to set up a decider with the Londoners.
At Arsenal Stadium, Gotham finished with a flourish by defeating ASFAR 4-0 to secure their position on the podium. Arsenal and Corinthians then took centre stage, with the Gunners twice pegged back by the Brazilians, before Caitlin Foord struck a 104th-minute winner to crown Arsenal as intercontinental queens.

Future FIFA Women’s Champions Cup™ editions
The seeding for the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup 2027™ will be determined by the results of the 2026 edition. The 2027 instalment will be held from Wednesday, 27 January to Sunday, 31 January. The seeding for the FIFA Women’s Champions Cup 2029™ will be subject to further consultation. The 2029 edition will be played from Wednesday, 24 January to Sunday, 28 January.
