Golden boy Palmer heads FIFA Club World Cup award winners

Chelsea FC’s stunning success at the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™ was reflected in the end-of-tournament awards as Cole Palmer and Robert Sanchez collected two of the top individual honours.

Desire Doue, the rising star of runners-up Paris Saint-Germain, was also recognised after the most inclusive club competition in history came to a fittingly first-class conclusion with an enthralling final at a packed MetLife Stadium.

The winners of the adidas Golden Ball, adidas Golden Glove and FIFA Best Young Player Award presented by Panini awards were all decided by the FIFA Technical Study Group, headed by FIFA Chief of Global Football Development Arsène Wenger.

adidas Golden Ball

Great players have a habit of rising to the biggest occasions, and Chelsea’s talented talisman certainly did that with an electrifying final display that included two superb goals and a sumptuous assist. adidas Bronze Ball

Another of the competition’s outstanding midfielders, the Ecuadorian was an influential presence in Chelsea’s engine room and played a huge role in the English underdogs seizing control of the final.

adidas Golden Glove

A safe pair of hands during the Blues’ run to the final, Sanchez took his game to a new level in the MetLife showpiece with a series of stunning saves that maintained his side’s advantage and quelled any hope of a Paris Saint-Germain comeback.

FIFA Best Young Player Award presented by Panini

Outstanding in the Parisians’ UEFA Champions League triumph, Doue dazzled once again on the world stage, confirming his status as one of the beautiful game’s most exciting talents.
