Norway have announced their 26-man squad for the FIFA World Cup 2026™.
Stale Solbakken’s squad are returning to the global finals for the first time since France 1998 and boast a bevy of big European stars that will take on France, Iraq and Senegal in Group I.
To no one’s surprise, Manchester City superstar Erling Haaland and Arsenal midfield wizard Martin Odegaard head up the list, while joining the hulking Haaland up front will be Atletico Madrid marksman Alexander Sorloth. Standout winger Antonio Nusa and assist machine Julian Ryerson also add punch to an attack that will give the back lines of Les Bleus, Lions of Mesopotamia and Lions of Teranga plenty to think about.
Among the players narrowly missing out are 21-year-old Bologna defender Eivind Helland, one of the more promising centre-backs in Norwegian football, and midfielder Aron Donnum of Toulouse, who played a role in Norway’s successful UEFA qualifying campaign.
