Players to watch
Rodrigo Mendoza
The Elche midfielder rode into these finals on the crest of a wave following an impressive start to his La Liga campaign, and continued to catch the eye against Morocco with his passing and composure.

Dominguez was an essential cog to the Mexico machine which took a point off Brazil last time out, capping a fine display with a well-taken goal.

A mature performance by Carmine Nunziata’s Italy saw them edge by a resolute Australia last time out and another victory will punch their ticket to the knockouts. Cuba, who netted just their second U-20 World Cup finals goal in defeat to Argentina, will do everything in their power to stop them.
Players to watch
Christian Corradi
Hulking defender Corradi was outstanding in Italy’s victory over Australia, as the Trento man kicked, headed and blocked everything the Young Socceroos threw his way.
Alessio Raballo
The striker was a thorn in the side of Argentina throughout in Valparaiso, getting in-behind for the challenge which saw Santiago Fernandez sent off.
Brazil v Morocco

00:00 on Thursday in Rabat
Morocco were the only Group C side to escape from matchday one with a victory, as they dominated a much-fancied Spain side in Santiago. Brazil were only a few minutes away from joining them on three points against Mexico, only for a late sucker-punch to resign them to a draw and ensure this clash is of the utmost importance.
Players to watch
Yassir Zabiri
Classy winger Zabiri got the ball rolling against Spain with a fine goal. He’s one of several attackers Brazil will need to keep close tabs on.

This Brazilian midfielder netted a goal his namesake Philippe would have been proud of against Mexico, as he strode on to a loose ball and fired home from outside the area.
Australia v Argentina
20:00 in Valparaiso
20:00 in Buenos Aires
09:00 on Thursday in Canberra
Both Australia and Argentina saw their first matches go to the wire. The Young Socceroos battled hard against Italy in a narrow 1-0 defeat, while record champions Argentina had to play more than 80 minutes with ten players against Cuba but hung on to win. Another tight contest is predicted here.
Players to watch

Australia’s dangerman was unlucky not to find the net against Italy, as his pace and power proved a constant threat.
Alejo Sarco
With two goals – including a delightful header – in their opening-day win over Cuba, Sarco is currently leading the adidas Golden Boot race and will be keen to add more goals to his tally.
