Montenegro and Belgium have qualified for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026™. They have booked their tickets to the finals by finishing top of their qualifying groups for the UEFA European Under-17 Championship.
The qualification competition also determines which teams feature at the U-17 World Cup, with the seven group winners and four best runners-up securing berths at the global showpiece.
Both nations have qualified with a game to spare in their sections. Montenegro can no longer be caught in first place after following up a 1-0 win over Greece with a 4-0 thumping of Norway. The nation will compete at the U-17 World Cup for the first time in their history.
Belgium made sure of top spot with a thrilling 4-3 win over Serbia, having edged out Switzerland 2-1 in their opening game. They will make their fourth U-17 World Cup appearance, with their best result third place at Chile 2015.
The remaining European qualifiers for Qatar 2026 will be confirmed on Tuesday when the final group matches are contested.
