The group stage of the FIFA U-17 Women’s World Cup Morocco 2025™ is well underway and the knockout stage is starting to take shape: Korea DPR, USA and Italy are the first teams to have qualified for the round of 16.
With the tournament now featuring 24 teams (up from 16), for the first time in history, teams will compete in a round of 16. This means that not only will the top two teams from each group advance, but the four best third-placed teams will join them. Find out where the teams stand on the road to the knockout stages.

What happens when teams have the same amount of points?
The top two teams in each of the six groups will reach the Round of 16. If two or more teams in the same group finish on equal points, the following criteria, in the order below, shall be applied to determine the ranking:
If, after having applied criteria a), b) and c), teams still have an equal ranking, criteria a), b) and c) are applied to the matches between the remaining teams only. If they are still equal, the following criteria, in the order below, shall be applied:
