Alisson Becker

Achievements came across the board for Alisson during the qualification period, the highlight being his performances for Liverpool during the 2024/25 Premier League season in which he kept nine clean sheets as the Reds captured the crown, finishing 10 points clear of nearest challengers Arsenal and 13 ahead of outgoing champions Manchester City. Brazil are once again back in the FIFA World Cup™ thanks in no small part to his exploits, as he registered clean sheets in a September 2024 win against Ecuador (1-0) and in back-to-back matches in June 2025 against Ecuador (0-0) and Paraguay (1-0).

Thibaut Courtois

The Belgian added to his already-impressive trophy haul with another two pieces of silverware, starting with Real Madrid’s 3-0 win over Mexican side Pachuca in the final of the FIFA Intercontinental Cup 2024™ in Qatar. Los Blancos also captured the 2024 UEFA Super Cup, with Courtois producing another clean sheet in the final. Named in the 2024/25 La Liga Team of the Season, Courtois was a steady hand throughout as Real finished as runners-up in the league and Copa del Rey, along with the Supercopa de Espana. Courtois also thrilled audiences in the USA during the FIFA Club World Cup 2025™, as his dramatic last-second save in the quarter-finals against Borussia Dortmund helped secure a semi-final place for the Spanish side.

Gianluigi Donnarumma

It rained trophies for Donnarumma, with the Italian goalkeeper helping Paris Saint-Germain win four titles, most notably a clean sheet performance in PSG’s breathtaking 5-0 win over Internazionale in the 2024/25 UEFA Champions League final, earning 2024/25 UEFA Champions League Team of the Season honours along the way. Donnarumma and PSG also collected titles in France’s Ligue 1, the Coupe de France and the Trophée des Champions, and were finalists in the Club World Cup 2025 in which Donnarumma kept five clean sheets in the French side’s seven matches.

Emiliano Martinez

The reigning winner of this prestigious trophy enjoyed another successful season for club and country. Aston Villa’s campaign was one to remember thanks in large part to the Argentina shot-stopper, as he helped them reach the UEFA Champions League quarter-finals and English FA Cup semi-finals. Martinez garnered the 2024/25 English Premier League Save of the Season award for his astounding goal-line stop against Nottingham Forest, which also earned him the Premier League Save of the Month award for December 2024. Argentina roared to a first-place finish in CONMEBOL World Cup qualifying with Martinez contributing four clean sheets between August 2024 and August 2025.

Manuel Neuer

Neuer just seems to be getting better with age. The 39-year-old served up another stellar season with German giants Bayern Munich, keeping 13 clean sheets in 22 appearances to help them reclaim the Bundesliga title. Having announced his retirement from international football, Neuer has been able to focus fully on his club side and it showed in spades during the Club World Cup 2025, as Bayern reached the quarter-finals before coming unstuck against European champions Paris Saint-Germain.

David Raya

Raya is once again a nominee for this prestigious award after another superb season in north London with Arsenal. The Gunners were runners-up in the 2024/25 English Premier League thanks in large part to Raya, who registered 13 clean sheets to pocket the 2024/25 Premier League Golden Glove award. Arsenal also came within a whisker of reaching their first UEFA Champions League final since 2006, with Raya playing a big role in their run to the final four. The Spain shot-stopper won the Premier League Save of the Month twice, in August 2025 and March 2025. At international level, he was part of the Spain side that finished runners-up in the 2024/25 UEFA Nations League.

Yann Sommer

Internazionale were in the mix for a plethora of trophies and at the heart of it was Sommer. Overall, the Nerazzurri finished as runners-up in the UEFA Champions League, Italian Serie A and the Supercoppa Italiana. His exploits on the continental stage won’t be forgotten anytime soon, as he kept seven clean sheets in Internazionale’s incredible run to the Champions League final. He also displayed his best in their crunch Club World Cup 2025 group stage finale against Argentinian giants River Plate, with the Swiss international securing a clean sheet in a 2-0 win to help his side advance to the knockouts.

Wojciech Szczesny

Barcelona added three trophies to their immense collection over the course of the year, with the veteran Polish netminder figuring in all their success. The 35-year-old recorded eight clean sheet as the Catalan club marched to another La Liga title, he also had three in their run to the Copa del Rey title and one in the Supercopa de Espana triumph. Barcelona were also semi-finalists in the UEFA Champions League, with the former Arsenal man chipping in with two clean sheets in their campaign.
