Ann-Katrin Berger
The girl from Goppingen made arguably the greatest save in UEFA EURO history to prevent an own-goal in the quarter-finals. Berger then scored her own spot-kick and saved two of France’s to propel Germany through. At club level, the veteran was named NWSL Goalkeeper of the Year and helped Gotham FC conquer the inaugural CONCACAF W Champions Cup.
Cata Coll
The No13 kept 21 clean sheets in 40 appearances for Barcelona in 2024/25, helping them conquer a domestic treble. Coll also thrived for Spain. Three shutouts helped them into the EURO final, where, despite her denying Beth Mead in the shootout, England emerged triumphant.
Christiane Endler
Lyon winning the Premiere Ligue crown having conceded only eight goals in 24 games was indebted to the Chilean, who was named its Goalkeeper of the Season. Endler was also outstanding as Les Lyonnaises beat Bayern Munich home and away to reach the Champions League semi-finals.
Hannah Hampton
The Birmingham-born, Castellon-raised Lionesses enjoyed a fairy-tale EURO. Hampton repelled two shootout spot-kicks apiece as England overcame Sweden in the quarter-finals and Spain in the final, and was duly named Goalkeeper of the Tournament. Hampton was also instrumental in Chelsea doing a domestic treble.
Anna Moorhouse
The Oldham native was an unused substitute as England conquered the continent, but she played a starring role for her club. Moorhouse kept 13 clean sheets in 26 appearances in the NWSL 2024 – a record for a season – and produced two huge saves as Orlando Pride edged Washington Spirit 1-0 in the championship match.
Chiamaka Nnadozie
The Nigerian was magnificent as Paris FC stunned Paris Saint-Germain in the Coupe de France final, keeping a clean sheet and then denying two penalties in the shootout. Nnadozie also kept four shutouts in six games as the Super Falcons sunk Morocco in Rabat to reclaim the WAFCON title.
Phallon Tullis-Joyce
Manchester United, who finished fifth and conceded 32 goals the previous WSL season, came third and leaked only 16 in 2024/25 following the American’s promotion to first-choice goalkeeper. Tullis-Joyce also made a perfect start to her USA career, keeping clean sheets in her first three internationals against Brazil, China PR and Jamaica.
